SoundOff was born out of one simple question:

“What was my favorite set?”

After returning from his 5th (or maybe 6th) Coachella, our founder Jake found himself reliving the weekend with friends during Weekend 2 “CouchChella.” As they compared favorite performances, he realized how hard it was to remember every artist, every moment, and every set that had made the weekend as a whole…unforgettable. That sparked an idea.

Jake wrote the first lines of code for SoundOff as a way to log the sets he experienced - complete with photos, videos, and sounds - then rank and share his top performances. What started as a personal project quickly grew beyond one festival.

Today, SoundOff has scaled into a global live music diary. From concerts and festivals to underground DJ sets, fans around the world can log their experiences, rank performances, and relive their favorite memories. And because not every unforgettable set happens IRL, SoundOff also lets you capture the moments that happen online - whether it’s a SoundCloud drop, a Mixcloud mix, or a legendary YouTube livestream (like Lady Gaga’s Copacabana show in Rio, which is also in Jake’s SoundOff Rankings).

SoundOff is more than an app - it’s a way to keep your music journey alive, share with friends, and discover sets and artists shaping the soundtrack of your life.
